  • I started gambling online over 10 years ago. What started as a harmless activity turned into a devastating addiction. For the last 10 years I have lied to my family and friends about my gambling. I have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars and still have debt up to my ears that I will be paying on for a long time.

Online gambling sites make it so easy to deposit money and gamble with just a click of the mouse. They always call you, send emails, and offer bonuses to keep you coming back for more. I have a wife and 2 kids that I am lucky enough to have held on to, but I know others were not so lucky and have lost more.

I know I would not have fallen into this addiction if online gambling were not available to me. It makes it way too easy to access and way to easy to hide an addiction because you can gamble wherever you have access to the Internet. I hope there is a way to stop this so others don’t feel the pain I have endured.

  • Just a short six months ago, I was respectable mother, wife, friend, and professional. Today, I am a 36-year old online gambling addict, filled with shame and regret because I lost all self-control. Online gambling is going to destroy me and my family. I really pray legislation passes to ban it completely, I’d be so thankful.

  • My youngest son tried out Internet gambling and won a lot of very small pots. I tried unsuccessfully to tell him that he was being setup but he just wouldn’t listen. He was being setup; no words on my part could break his false confidence. Eventually he went through a divorce and after the estate was split up he was left homeless.
